Finance Tracker (“we”, “us”) provides household budgeting tools. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

• Account details: name, email, password hash, optional 2FA secrets
• Household financial data you enter: accounts, transactions, labels, and recurring constants
• Technical logs needed to operate the service (e.g. error reports)

How we use data

We use your data to authenticate you, sync household workspaces, send transactional email (verification, invites, password reset), and keep the service secure and reliable.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email, error monitoring) process data only to run the service.

Retention & deletion

You can export household data and delete your account from Settings. Sole owners must transfer ownership before account deletion.
